Role Overview:
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of our financial records, managing complex reconciliations, and providing strategic financial insights to leadership. This role is critical to our operations, requiring a proactive approach to problem-solving and a deep understanding of GAAP standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily, monthly, and year-end accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance and reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Assist in the preparation of financial audits and tax filings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial data support for budgeting and forecasting initiatives.
- Identify process improvements and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly to stakeholders.
