Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries are recorded accurately and on time.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis to ensure data integrity.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, including issuing invoices and collecting payments.
- Prepare and review monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax documents and filings.
- Maintain organized filing systems for both digital and physical financial documents.
- Collaborate with the finance director to improve financial processes and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is required.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
- Excellent attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in data entry.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with payroll processing is a plus.
