Responsibilities
- Manage month-end closing processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and ensure compliance with GAAP standards
- Prepare detailed financial statements for executive leadership and stakeholders
- Analyze variance reports and provide actionable insights to improve financial performance
- Lead internal audits and coordinate external audit processes
- Implement and optimize accounting systems for enhanced efficiency
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate finance
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, audits, and compliance frameworks
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
- Experience in manufacturing or distribution industries a plus
