Responsibilities
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial statements are accurate and reported in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform detailed bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, variance analysis, and budgets to support decision-making.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable operations, ensuring timely processing and resolution of discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff members to ensure best practices are followed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, financial reporting, or a related role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, Macros).
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and federal tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting findings to stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
