Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring the accuracy and timely completion of monthly and annual close processes.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and intercompany eliminations to ensure data integrity.
- Assist with the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide detailed reporting to senior management regarding financial performance.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and provide requested documentation.
- Streamline accounting processes and implement best practices to improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree (MBA) is a plus.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
