Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS standards.
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring accuracy of all financial transactions.
- Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax filings and ensure timely payment of liabilities.
- Develop and monitor internal controls and budgets to safeguard company assets.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to management for strategic decision-making.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff to ensure team efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree or CPA/CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite).
- Deep understanding of financial reporting standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
