Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- General Ledger Management: Manage daily journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance to ensure accuracy.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial reporting and tax filings comply with federal and state regulations in Florida.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the finance director and operations team to provide insights on budget variances and cash flow management.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or finance environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel (advanced functions), and ERP systems.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional analytical skills with a zero-tolerance approach to errors.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly.
