Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Account Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial reporting and tax filings comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement within the accounting department to increase efficiency.
- Team Collaboration: Assist in the month-end and year-end close process and support the finance team with ad-hoc analysis.
- Payroll Oversight: Review payroll records for accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP, financial regulations, and internal controls.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
