Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Perform complex bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and assist with long-term financial forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit and provide necessary documentation.
- Streamline internal financial processes and implement best practices to improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards (GAAP) and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
