Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate financial data entry and reporting.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and bank reconciliations.
- Assist in the annual audit process by providing supporting documentation and schedules.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop budgets and forecasts.
- Ensure tax compliance by preparing and filing necessary tax returns and documentation.
- Optimize internal financial processes and implement best practices for efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Active CPA, CMA, or CFA certification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts.
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities and a high attention to detail.
