Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliation, and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and expense management
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for diverse client portfolios
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls
- Lead budgeting processes and variance analysis for department heads
- Implement process improvements using QuickBooks and advanced Excel functions
- Mentor junior accounting staff and cross-departmental collaboration
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sector
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and financial reporting software
- Proven track record of managing complex financial operations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with competing priorities
- Excellent communication skills for client/stakeholder interactions
