Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Assist in the annual external audit process and coordinate with auditors.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable operations, ensuring all invoices are processed correctly.
- Support budget preparation and variance analysis for department heads.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in general accounting or financial reporting.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial analysis principles.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, capable of presenting complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
