Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring all reconciliations are completed timely and accurately.
- Manage general ledger accounts, ensuring all transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to management regarding budget vs. actual performance.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports for internal stakeholders and external auditors.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and filing requirements.
- Collaborate with the payroll and treasury departments to optimize cash flow management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (SAP, NetSuite, or QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
