Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger accounts and comprehensive financial statements.
- Manage end-to-end accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual audits to ensure internal controls are effective.
- Assist with federal and state tax preparation and filing compliance.
- Perform variance analysis and assist in budget forecasting for department heads.
- Ensure strict adherence to GAAP and internal company policies.
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff on best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- CPA certification is a strong plus but not mandatory for senior roles.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, or Oracle).
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and macros.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders.
