Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Accounts Management: Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timely processing of transactions.
- General Ledger: Maintain the general ledger, perform month-end and year-end close procedures, and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and implement new accounting software solutions.
- Compliance & Audit: Assist in external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation and schedules.
- Tax Preparation: Collaborate with external tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree (CPA) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
