Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for diverse client portfolios using QuickBooks Online
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and investment accounts monthly
- Process payroll and ensure timely tax compliance (federal/state)
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and vendor management
- Implement and maintain internal controls for financial accuracy
- Collaborate with CPA firms during audit and tax seasons
- Train junior staff on accounting software best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience required
- 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience in DC metro area
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor preferred
- Deep knowledge of GAAP and IRS tax regulations
- Experience with multi-entity accounting and fund accounting
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication abilities for client/stakeholder interactions
