Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring the accuracy and proper reconciliation of all accounts.
- Process complex accounts payable and receivable transactions, including invoice verification and payment scheduling.
- Assist with the preparation of federal and state tax returns and ensure timely and accurate filings.
- Conduct internal audits and implement robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights, budget forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures to reflect changes in regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; CPA certification is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or public accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and federal/state tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with an exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
