Responsibilities
- Manage Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Reconciliation: Perform complex account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies to ensure data integrity.
- Compliance & Audits: Assist in external audits and ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency in the accounting department.
- Team Collaboration: Mentor junior accountants and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.
- Budgeting: Contribute to the annual budgeting process and provide variance analysis to management.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Location: Must be willing to work from our Austin, TX office.
