Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in the general ledger system.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and corporate policies.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
- Budget & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and ongoing financial forecasts.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial processes comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to accounting workflows and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite).
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Organization: Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Remote Readiness: Must have a dedicated home office environment and high-speed internet.
