Responsibilities
- Manage month-end/year-end closing processes with 100% accuracy
- Lead financial reporting for executive stakeholders and board members
- Oversee internal controls and SOX compliance initiatives
- Analyze variance reports and recommend strategic financial adjustments
- Coordinate external audits and regulatory submissions
- Mentor junior accounting staff through performance reviews
- Implement process improvements using ERP systems (NetSuite/SAP)
- Prepare tax filings and manage multi-state compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance; CPA required or actively pursuing
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in GAAP, SOX, and multi-state tax compliance
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks, and ERP platforms
- Proven track record of leading financial audits
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience with process automation in accounting workflows
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
