Responsibilities
- Manage general ledger accounting functions, including month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Conduct internal audits and assist external auditors during their reviews.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions.
- Reconcile bank accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial reporting and forecasting accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
