Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations, including preparation of annual tax returns.
- Perform internal audits and reconciliations to identify discrepancies and improve financial controls.
- Collaborate with department heads to forecast budgets and assist in strategic decision-making.
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA preferred).
- 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and tax laws.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
