Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger and oversee the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform detailed bank reconciliations and ensure all accounts are up to date.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Review and approve accounts payable and receivable transactions, verifying invoice accuracy.
- Collaborate with the external audit team to facilitate the annual audit process and address findings.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and reduce financial risk.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups).
- Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
