Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statement reviews to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Account Management: Manage the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely billing and payment execution.
- Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax filings and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Audit Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors during annual reviews and provide necessary documentation.
- Budgeting: Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and monitor variances throughout the fiscal year.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in general accounting or financial analysis.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel skills required) and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite).
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical abilities, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Integrity: Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and ethical standards.
