Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Manage the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations (bank, credit card, intercompany), and variance analysis.
- Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Assist in the annual budgeting process and assist management in preparing monthly financial forecasts.
- Coordinate with external auditors during fiscal year-end audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or professional services environment.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) and advanced MS Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Deep understanding of US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present financial findings to non-financial stakeholders.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
