The Role:
In this key role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You will play a vital role in the financial health of our clients and the firm.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor invoicing and customer collections.
- Assist with the annual audit process, providing necessary schedules and documentation to external auditors.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
- Support budget preparation and variance analysis for management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA candidate preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and MS Excel (Advanced functions).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
