Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- Account Reconciliation: Perform detailed reconciliations of general ledger accounts, bank statements, and intercompany transactions to ensure accuracy.
- Compliance & Audits: Assist in the preparation of financial records for external audits and ensure full compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Month-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met and variance analysis is completed.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices for greater efficiency.
- Financial Analysis: Support management with budgeting, forecasting, and special financial projects to drive business decision-making.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree (CPA, CMA) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and internal control environments.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
