Responsibilities
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial statements are accurate and delivered on time.
- Prepare and analyze variance reports to monitor budget performance against actuals.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts monthly.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax filings and compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits to provide necessary documentation and support.
- Maintain and update fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
- Streamline accounts payable and receivable workflows to improve cash flow visibility.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA certification is highly desired.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and ERP systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and complex formulas.
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and tax regulations.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
