Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close procedures
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, and income reports to ensure regulatory compliance
- Implement and maintain daily pay systems for employees while maintaining financial controls
- Collaborate with auditors during quarterly and annual financial reviews
- Develop financial models and forecasts to support strategic business decisions
- Optimize financial processes using QuickBooks and other accounting software platforms
- Mentor junior accounting staff and ensure adherence to GAAP standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience with daily payroll systems
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and financial reporting tools
- Proven track record of managing month-end closes and reconciliations
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and tax compliance regulations in California
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience implementing daily pay solutions or alternative compensation models
- Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
