In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining our financial health, preparing accurate reports, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. We welcome applicants from Kansas City and are happy to accommodate remote candidates in Virginia for this position.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily general ledger activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Assist in the annual budget preparation and variance analysis.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure internal controls are effective and efficient.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial reporting systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP), and ERP systems.
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations and financial compliance standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
