Responsibilities
- Manage complex general ledger accounts and perform monthly reconciliations.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Supervise the accounts payable and receivable departments to ensure timely processing.
- Conduct variance analysis and present financial findings to management.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal and state laws.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- CPA certification is highly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables) and accounting software (SAP, NetSuite, or QuickBooks).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
