Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting cycles
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Lead month-end closing processes and variance analysis
- Collaborate with auditors during financial reviews
- Maintain accurate financial records using Xero/Sage software
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent UK accounting certification
- Minimum 5 years' experience in public practice or corporate accounting
- Expertise in UK tax legislation and VAT compliance
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software (Xero/Sage)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines in high-volume settings
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder reporting
