Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including sales and purchase ledgers.
- Prepare and submit accurate monthly VAT returns and year-end accounts.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Assist with payroll processing for temporary agency staff.
- Generate financial reports and budgets for management review.
- Maintain organized filing systems for both digital and hard copy records.
Qualifications
- Fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or AAT Level 4 qualified (or equivalent experience).
- Strong knowledge of UK tax legislation, HMRC guidelines, and double-entry bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or Microsoft Dynamics).
- Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and macros.
- Ability to work autonomously and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid right to work in the United Kingdom.
