Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate general ledger accounts, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly and on time.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, to support strategic decision-making.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements monthly to ensure data accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and external auditors.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring vendor and customer inquiries are resolved promptly.
- Support tax preparation processes and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is a plus).
- 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and resolve discrepancies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
