Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all financial records.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Perform complex bank reconciliations and intercompany account reconciliations.
- Assist with the external audit process, including the preparation of audit schedules and supporting documentation.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process by analyzing variances and providing insights to management.
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and manage depreciation calculations.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree (CPA, CMA) preferred.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or SAP) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
