Responsibilities
- Oversee full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close procedures and financial statement preparation
- Manage complex reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and ensure compliance with GAAP standards
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes while providing variance analysis to executive leadership
- Coordinate annual audits and tax preparation with external partners
- Develop and implement internal controls to optimize financial processes
- Mentor junior accounting staff and cross-departmental financial initiatives
- Analyze financial trends to support strategic business decisions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience with public/private sector blend
- Expertise in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel modeling
- Proven track record in multi-state tax compliance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience managing accounting teams and cross-functional projects
- Knowledge of Colorado Springs business ecosystem advantageous
