Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Manage the general ledger and ensure all journal entries are accurate, complete, and posted on a timely basis.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist in the annual external audit process and coordinate all required documentation with external auditors.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable operations to ensure timely billing and payment processing.
- Prepare and file corporate tax returns, supporting the company's overall tax planning strategy.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification is strongly preferred or a CPA candidate in progress.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and federal tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and precision.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
