Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement
- Prepare and audit complex tax returns while ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Lead cross-functional budgeting and forecasting initiatives with department heads
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Mentor junior accountants and oversee accounting software implementations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel (including Power Query)
- Demonstrated expertise in GAAP compliance and multi-state tax regulations
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder presentations and negotiations
- Proven track record of optimizing financial processes and reducing costs
