Responsibilities
- Manage monthly reconciliation of benefits liabilities, payroll taxes, and general ledger accounts with high precision.
- Prepare and analyze variance reports to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting for employee benefit programs.
- Collaborate closely with HR and Payroll teams to resolve discrepancies in benefits enrollment and payroll deductions.
- Assist in the annual audit process and external reporting requirements, ensuring full compliance with GAAP.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all benefit programs and policy changes.
- Streamline accounting processes to improve efficiency and data accuracy across the finance department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in general accounting, specifically with benefits and payroll reconciliation.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax compliance regulations, and federal/state reporting requirements.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot complex financial data issues.
