Responsibilities
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and variance reports
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and payroll processing
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls
- Lead audit coordination with external partners and resolve discrepancies
- Develop financial models for forecasting and strategic planning
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sector
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, tax codes, and financial reporting standards
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven experience managing audits and compliance processes
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
