Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded according to GAAP standards.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare complex monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for internal management and external stakeholders.
- Month-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts is completed efficiently.
- Compliance & Auditing: Assist with external audits and ensure the company remains compliant with all federal and state tax regulations.
- Budget Analysis: Assist in the budgeting process by analyzing variances and providing insights to management to support strategic decision-making.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices to increase operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree (MBA) or CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial reporting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial managers.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
