Responsibilities
- Manage and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Oversee the general ledger and ensure accurate, timely reconciliation of bank accounts, credit card statements, and intercompany accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings and ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and variance analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial reporting processes and systems.
- Supervise junior accounting staff and provide mentorship, training, and performance feedback.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and internal control frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
