Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide strategic insights to leadership
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations
- Prepare complex tax filings and support external audit processes
- Implement process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency
- Mentor junior accountants and contribute to cross-functional team projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software (Sage 100 a plus)
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, tax compliance, and internal controls
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Excellent communication skills with ability to collaborate across departments
- Experience with multi-state tax filings and Denver-specific regulations
