What You'll Do:
- Manage the full-cycle accounting process, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict adherence to GAAP standards.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns, including supporting documentation for audits.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial reporting processes and budget forecasting.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure timely closing of monthly/quarterly cycles.
- Conduct variance analysis and present findings to senior management.
- Manage vendor relationships and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Maintain and update fixed asset schedules and depreciation calculations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- CPA certification is highly preferred but not strictly required.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage).
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP, tax laws, and financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
