Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly financial statements with variance reporting
- Manage complex general ledger reconciliations and month-end close processes
- Lead internal control audits and SOX compliance documentation
- Develop financial models for forecasting and budgeting initiatives
- Coordinate with external auditors during annual reviews
- Optimize accounting workflows using ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Power Query)
- SAP/Oracle ERP implementation and optimization experience
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, SOX, and tax compliance requirements
- Proven success in process automation and workflow redesign
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written/verbal communication abilities
