Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including GL maintenance, month-end close, and financial statement preparation
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and federal/state regulatory requirements
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budget forecasting and cost analysis initiatives
- Lead internal audits and implement robust internal controls
- Manage accounts payable/receivable processes and bank reconciliations
- Prepare detailed financial reports for executive stakeholders and external partners
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and MS Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUP)
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and SOX compliance
- Proven track record in month-end close processes and financial reporting
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder collaboration
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision
