Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end closes, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and ensure compliance with GAAP standards
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities
- Prepare and submit regulatory filings, tax returns, and audit documentation
- Mentor junior accounting staff and implement process optimization initiatives
- Collaborate with executive team on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems
- Demonstrated expertise in month-end closes and financial statement preparation
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and regulatory reporting
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and mentor team members
