Responsibilities
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes with GAAP compliance
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for executive leadership
- Manage accounts payable/receivable and general ledger reconciliation
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure financial integrity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budget forecasting and variance analysis
- Lead audit preparation and documentation for external reviews
- Mentor junior accounting staff through virtual training sessions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems
- Proven track record of SOX compliance and audit support
- Advanced analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong written/oral communication abilities for remote collaboration
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and reporting
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
