Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Manage month-end/year-end closing processes with accurate journal entries
- Conduct detailed account reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Lead internal control audits and process improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial reporting and tax compliance
- Maintain accurate financial records using advanced accounting software
- Provide strategic financial insights to executive stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate setting
- Expertise in full-cycle accounting and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Illinois CPA license or active pursuit required
- Proven experience managing financial audits and compliance
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder collaboration
