Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Perform variance analysis and budget forecasting to support executive decision-making.
- Conduct internal audits and implement controls to mitigate financial risk.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial operations and reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite) and strong MS Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
